About

Andy W Marsden writes horror stories amidst the cobwebs in his parents’ attic whilst eating Jaffa Cakes, drinking too much coffee, and listening to heavy metal. He is a big fan of Evile, Abney Park, HIM, Behemoth, Motion Device and The Warning. When not listening to metal, he likes many other bands and performers including Charlotte “The Glass Child” Eriksson, Michelle Branch, Stone Circle, Orla Gartland, Janet Devlin, to name a few. He can usually be found at local gigs around the Huddersfield area, (though ‘local’ is often redefined as Leeds, Sheffield or Manchester), so if you see him, don’t be afraid to say hello. His usual watering hole is the Parish dive bar.

Sharing a birthday with Bela Lugosi, born in the George Eliot hospital in Nuneaton, it is no surprise he has a love of horror and writing, and works to combine them in his spare time. By day he is a Kitchen Designer in a large DIY store. Beside writing, Andy is attempting to learn to play the ukulele with dubious results.

Former Secretary of the British Fantasy Society (2015-2021), current Secretary of the Friends of Slaithwaite Spa, and a member of STARFLEET: The International Star Trek Fan Association. His roles alternate between Captain of his chapter, the USS Appleton, and Assistant Surgeon General for STARFLEET Medical in Region 20 (the UK and Ireland).
